Disney Project Life Introduction Layout

Hi friends, I am working on my Disney album and decided to show my process video of how I created my Introduction layout in the album. Have a look at it!

So I wanted to use this awesome star vellum from Doodlebug as the basis of the layout, and then included just the basics - the album content and the dates.

I took some red letters from my stash (they were part of Ali Edwards' 2015 December Daily kit) and painted them white. Now, I will tell you that between the time that I filmed the video painting them, until the time I opened the album to photograph the layout, the color had bled through. At first I panicked and had my Oh No! moment, and then I tried to cover them with a stain blocker - didn't work. I tried to spray paint them - that helped but they are still a bit dingy. Oh well.

So my motto whenever things don't quite work out like I had hoped or planned, is to try twice to fix it, and then move along. Nothing in any of my albums is perfect. None of my photos or videos or blog posts is perfect! And if I waited until things were perfect, I wouldn't get a thing done. So give yourself permission today, to put those perfectly imperfect photos and embellishments and alphas in your layouts, ok? Do it because I said to. Ha.

These embossed numbers rock. They are simple Tim Holtz stamps and I decided silver would be my metallic choice for this album. Love.

The lower pocket is simply a word strip from Shimelle's Starshine, a washi tape from Doodlebug, and the label from Teresa Collins. Ya'll, I even left a pocket un-embellished for this. Can you believe it? Alright, this is a simple, but fun layout for today. I will see you again soon!
