TBT Project Life 2014 Halloween Pt. 02 | Feat. MH After Dark!

Hi guys, this is part 2 continuing from yesterday's layout about our Halloween adventures in my 2014 Project Life album! These are photos of each child individually highlighting their costumes that year.

I am having so much fun working with these photos and sharing these layouts with you! Have a look at the completed project:

My photography strategy for Halloween is much the same each year: try to get a few of us in the neighborhood early on before it gets too dark, get a few of the whole loot, and also do a mini session before we ever go out into the neighborhood. I try to keep that session short and sweet because they are obviously off the walls excited (!) but my main goal is to get an overall shot of each child in their costume and one close-up head shot of each one.

Addison was dressed up as Rocket Raccoon this particular year. I think he was the cutest raccoon ever. One of my favorite cards from the After Dark collection was this one that allowed me to add some fun facts from the night. That definitely goes in the "need more of that" category for next year!

Nick was a Star Wars character named Ethan Adare. He looks like such a cute little imp in this photo below!

Emberlynn chose to be a mermaid this year, and particularly a red mermaid. I did go back and look up who our source was for these tutus - an Etsy seller named BloomsNBugs. Her shop shows she is taking a break, but I will include a link here. I highly recommend her work, the tutus were GORGEOUS!

She made the cutest mermaid, didn't she?!

Last but certainly not least is Natalie as Elsa. 2014 was the year every little girl was Elsa from Frozen. Gah, the cuteness. I loved including my own excitement in the journaling card - I really did have fun planning out their costumes that year. Normally in the interest of time and money, they purchase pre-made costumes from the store. But this year I wanted to do something special for them. I am so glad I did that. Just once, to splurge and allow them to feel like princesses!

I absolutely loved how both of these layouts turned out! Every year the Halloween layouts bring me such joy to create and look at in the future. I hope they mean as much to the kiddos as well!

Thank you so much for joining me the last two days! I hope you have gained some strategies for photo-documenting and scrapbooking your own Halloween memories. See you soon!
