Hey guys! Today I am sharing my layout that I began in my last Photoshop Tutorial for Week 04 in my 2017 Project Life album! I created this layout in Photoshop CC using the Sahlin Studio Clean Lined Templates No. 01, and in this video I will embellish on top using my Freckled Fawn February kit.
This layout appeared last week on the Sahlin Studio blog and can be viewed here.
This was quite a busy week for us, and I loved having so many photos to share! I especially loved having so many opportunities within the templates to include all those photos, there are ten in all! This week the boys had a match for their National Academic League and I was able to snap a couple of photos of them wearing their shirts. Notice the cool wall mural behind them! Also, Nick had braces put on his bottom teeth. He has had them put on the top twice now, and we are entering (hopefully!) the final stages for him in this really long journey. He was quite the trooper. I also included photos of our food that week - apparently we had a few lunch dates at Moe's and Chick-Fil-A! And we also had just a few spots of sunshine - a really big deal to capture and include this time of year!
For the left hand side I used a large photo of the boys as a focal point for this layout. I also used the smaller frames (3x2's) for tiny pops of color brought to you by patterned papers. Those papers are included in the Hello Sampler kit by Sahlin Studio.
I loved using those little frames of patterned papers as the base for little embellishments, too! So much fun!
On the right hand side of the layout, the photo of Alan and me plus the Week card provide the counterpoint. Now, confession time: I don't necessarily journal about every single photo, and I think that is ok. Some photos, like the one of our dog being cute, are simply there because I love including them!
Hey, notice the pop of turquoise there in the black and white card? I decided to use a color for my stamp instead of my usual black or navy, just to help that stamp pop a tiny bit within the black. Love it!
I don't know if you are like me, the winter time is hard with so many dark hours and rainy/snowy days. Any sunshine I can find I am embracing and including in my layouts!
Thanks so much for joining me today! See you back here again soon!
